Hiker Rescued

A hiker has been rescued this Monday in the Barranco del Cura , in the municipality of Mogán , as reported by emergency services.

For the rescue, a helicopter of the Emergency and Salvage Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands was activated , which helped the woman, 57 years old, together with agents of the Fire Station of Puerto Rico (Gran Canaria). The victim is a Danish citizen who has been diagnosed with a broken tibia in one leg and other fractures in one hand and a wrist.

In another accident the death of a male, 77-year-old and of foreign origin, took place in a trail located in the vicinity of Patalavaca, Puerto Rico. A caller alerted the coordinating centre of emergency and security (Cecoes) 1-1-2 of the Gobierno de Canarias which were practicing resuscitation maneuvers to a hiker that had suffered a fall and was in cardiorespiratory. The place moved Group (GES) salvage and emergency helicopter of the Government of the Canary Islands, a care ambulance service emergency Canario (SUC) and Local police of Mogan and the Guardia Civil officers. The rescuers of the helicopter took up land near the place where the plaintiff was and, after checking that you remained in cardio, was transferred to El Berriel aerodrome while they continued practicing maneuvers of CPR.
